― a purpose driven platform for FLINTA-BiPoC curators focusing on representation and diversity in the music and nightlife industry
Curators Collective (CuCo) is an international exchange project that bridges the music scenes in Denmark and Japan, while supporting multidisciplinary talents navigating the music industry. Through artist residencies, focused mentoring, and showcases, the project empowers FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender people) and BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists—especially those in hybrid roles such as musician, DJ, curator, and producer who move between artistic and organizational practice.
CuCo fosters cross-cultural artistic collaboration, workshops, and mentorships, creating new connections between emerging players across genres and borders. With an experimental, inclusive, and sustainable vision for the music scene, the program supports participants in developing their artistic practices and building long-term networks between Danish and Japanese club and music cultures.
This pilot (2025–2026) will lay the groundwork for a four-year program of showcases and exchanges across Aarhus, Tokyo, Copenhagen, and Osaka.
