Kulbroen Connections

08/23

Our role was to curate the entire music line-up, which we did in direct collaboration with Jonna Aspeklev and She Can Play with financial support from Train.

Jonna Aspeklev

Jonna is one of the music producers working at Lydhavnen, a collective of professional sound studios, producers, engineers and artists located in the heart of Aarhus. When not mixing or recording she also works as a freelance live technician. Jonna wants to create more equality within the music industry by making recording, mixing and producing more accessible to women. This collaboration is based on artists that Jonna will work with further ahead at Lydhavnen.
Jonna was responsible for the headliner bookings Svart Ridå and Skunk Mama, as well as being the live sound technician on all live bands during the festival.

She Can Play:

Empowering talent! We've teamed up with SheCanPlay, a music community fostering young women and gender minorities in their musical journey. Learn more at SheCanPlay.dk.

@svartrida was formed through an idea and an approach to music creation where the music was seen and handled as a tool to steer and provoke emotions in the listener. With the release of their debut album, the duo has become a trio, and the sound has evolved into a more guitar-based style, with noticeable influences from both the grunge wave of the 90s and the freer pop music of the 70s.
Have you ever pooped your pants on a crowded train after getting dumped? Worry no more, anti-folk singer/songwriter, @skunk_mama, is here to sing and play you through the crap. Life is terrible, but also whimsical, and it's meant to be both cried over and celebrated... so let's do it!
@natashaimani is a half Danish, half Malaysian singer, who, in her own words, creates "organic and melancholic RnB." She writes songs for the sensitive listener about everything from sex to love to sorrow, and everything in between. She manages to convey her vulnerability in a way that feels both accessible and relatable, drawing inspiration from her own personal experiences as well as others'.
DJ collective @railfoundation is pro personal expression, holding space and sharing stage. We believe in the power of representation and sharing what we love, to break down walls on gender, ethnicity and culture. Expect a strong global perspective with a mix of bass, electronic dance, ethno house, African, Eastern and Caribbean vibes.
Step into the captivating electronic world of @pradanoia_official, where everything teeters between euphoria and dysphoria. Their powerful sound universe and eccentric live performances will make you lose your footing and flow into a transcendent experience. The innovative electronic duo manages to set the body in motion and the mind in trance with their prominent house chords, UK garage-inspired grooves, and hints of Scandinavian melancholy.
